Incident location Affected vehicle Area Law Enforcement
Police reported they were alerted by a individual who discovered a automobile in Hanau marked with reddish substance

Roughly fifty vehicles have been marked with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's municipality of Hanau close to Frankfurt, as reported by authorities.

Vehicles, walls and mailboxes were marked, in some cases with prohibited symbols, they stated in a statement.

Law enforcement report they were alerted in the late hours on Wednesday, when a man observed that a vehicle in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been marked with a reddish-hued liquid.

The fluid had been applied in the form of a banned symbol, they stated.

Law enforcement then located numerous other smeared cars and residential walls in the nearby vicinity.

These symbols are prohibited in Germany under legislation banning the visible presentation of symbols from the Nazi era.

Law enforcement report early analysis show the fluid was most likely blood from a person.

"At present there remains no clue as to its origin; officials are presently not informed of any harm in relation with the event," they stated.

Municipal representatives announced they were attempting "to resolve the case" and have appealed to the residents for details.

A senior official said the vandalism rendered him without words and required to be solved quickly.

"This incident hits the center of Hanau and reawakens the trauma of the extremist violent incident half a decade ago," he posted on a platform, mentioning the murder of nine people by a shooter aiming at individuals of immigrant origin in 2020.
